The Power of the Son
I drew this picture for my mom a few days ago. It's a picture of the cross, with autumn leaves falling down. The dots on the cross are the holes from where they nailed Jesus to it. The leaves falling on it remind us of His blood that fell down for us, and remind us that we should love Him and also remember Him.
In the fall the leaves get crunchy and brown. That's like how Jesus died for our sins. But in the spring the leaves grow green and fresh, like how Jesus rose again.
The sun reminds us that He is the mighty God and he is all-powerful. Jesus made the sun for the plants to grow. Without the sun we would all die, even the fresh green leaves. And He also put the sky there. And He made the clouds, that hold rain. And He created water, that falls to the ground. Trees need water to live and grow new green leaves, and Jesus is the living water that gives us life! And without the sun and the water and the sky, we would all die.
He also created air for oxygen for us to breathe. These tools we need for our lives. That's like our spiritual life, too, because we need Jesus to be our light and our living water and our air and everything in our lives, and we need to hide His Word in our hearts, and that's the only way we can really truly live. If we just ignore Jesus and don't let Him be our light and our living water because we don't believe Him and don't read His Word, then we will just dry up and cannot be a healthy tree like He wants us to be.
I hope you love this blog, everyone. And I hope you love Jesus, and the Bible. I do!
Love, Caleb
"Blessed is the man...[whose] delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."
Psalm 1:2-3
